Another option for your private retreat is the beautiful Abbey of St. Walburga near Virginia Dale, which is just south of the Wyoming border. The abbey is run by a small community of contemplative Benedictine nuns located in a valley in northern Colorado. The nearest major city is Ft. Collins. MEALS/FOOD SERVICE

Meals are served cafeteria style. Food is served for one-half hour at 8 a.m., noon, and 6 p.m. Dinner is at 7 p.m on Fridays. Vegetarian and special diet requests are honored whenever possible and must be made in advance.

FEES/RESERVATIONS:

The cost to make an individual retreat is $90 per person for one night or $70 for two or more nights (plus 4.75% tax)and the fee includes lodging and meals. There is no cost associated with spiritual direction.

Our spiritual directors are Brother Jose Ambrozic, director of St. Malo, and Father Daniel Cardo, chaplain of St. Malo.

Mass is celebrated in our third floor chapel at 7:20 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. On Sunday, Mass is celebrated at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel on the Rock. Fr. Daniel is available for confession upon request.

Check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 10 a.m. Arrangements would need to be made to arrive earlier or depart later. Please be aware that there may be other groups on retreat or in a conference during your stay.
